EVENT LANGUAGE: GERMAN – GUIDED TOUR FOR PEOPLE WHO ARE BLIND OR VISUALLY IMPAIRED
Touch models and various surfaces, get background information and experience the atmosphere acoustically – this is how the guided tour through our exhibition for blind and visually impaired people is organized. While you grasp the dimensions of the Karl-Marx Hof using a tactile model, you can listen to the accounts of a contemporary witness and resident. Other residential buildings from around the 2000s, such as the Gasometer, DonauCity and the Kabelwerk, are presented as tactile models to illustrate the developments. The Danube Island, the Austrian Cultural Forum in New York and the Islamic cemetery in Altach can also be experienced acoustically through the audio stations.
