During the curator’s tour with Günther Oberhollenzer we will learn more about the background, genesis and themes of the exhibition SYSTEMRELEVANT.
SYSTEMRELEVANT is a show that takes this so diversely discussed term in order to think about it in a new and different way, to ask questions without knowing the answers. But it is also a determination of the position of the new artistic director, a deliberately personal and also programmatic show to reflect with the means of an exhibition on what an (analog) art space can be in the 21st century. Seven (out of a total of eighteen) artists* have developed new works for the exhibition in this context.
SYSTEMRELEVANT lives diversity as a matter of course, cross-disciplinary thinking and participatory projects are understood as significant and enriching. The exhibition is intended to give a first impression of the path the Künstlerhaus will take in the coming years.
