Queer-feminist performance evening as part of the exhibition Community & Connection & Power
Where and with whom can you let go and feel connected? What does it mean to have found the Chosen Family? How does the freedom to be yourself feel? – and above all, how do you fight for your own community? In the exhibition Communtiy & Connection & Power, ContextCocktail shows works by queer-feminist photo and video artists.
For the performance evening, the artists represented in the exhibition invite people from their community to engage with the theme “I want to spend eternity with you” in a performance (performance, music, poetry) and to explore questions of who do I want to spend my time with? as well as romantic, friendly but also self-love outside of cis-heteronormative ideals.
Their subjects are their companions and friends. They capture intimate moments in queer nightlife and private spaces, document the realities of life outside the mainstream or deal with the activist struggle for visibility, equality and freedom in conceptual works.
For us, queer is not only a rejection of heteronormativity, but also means showing alternatives to the gender roles, relationships and lifestyles anchored in our society and combating all forms of oppression, be it racism, sexism, ableism, ageism or classism.

puuul is a versatile art space – workshop, autonomous exhibition space and studio in one. The focus of the exhibition activity is on solo exhibitions, which create opportunities to comprehensively engage with the work of an artist. But there is room for many things in the puuul, and an important part of the plan is to be open to ideas, projects and fantasies.
