Emiko Kasahara, Luca Nichetto, Elisabeth Noever-Ginthör, Michael Zinganel and Robert Punkenhofer discuss ritualistic aspects of their work as well as the role of rituals in their personal everyday life and work processes.
In our society, rituals serve the social cohesion and structure everyday life. Crises, as we are currently experiencing, emphasize the importance of ritual processes in our personal everyday life. At the same time, our creative processes and everyday professional life are also characterized by rituals. The participants will talk about rituals as well as ritualistic aspects of their work as artists, designers, theorists, curators and cultural managers: Robert Punkenhofer (artistic director VIENNA ART WEEK) in conversation with Emiko Kasahara (artist, Los Angeles and Tokyo), Luca Nichetto (designer and founder of Nichetto Studio, Venice and Stockholm), Elisabeth Noever-Ginthör (cultural manager and director of Creativity & Business/Wirtschaftsagentur Wien), Michael Zinganel (architectural theorist, artist and co-founder of the interdisciplinary research platform Tracing Spaces).
