The Guerrilla Girls are anonymous artist activists who use disruptive headlines, outrageous visuals and killer statistics to expose gender and ethnic bias and corruption in art, film, politics and pop culture. They believe in an intersectional feminism that fights for human rights for all people and undermine the idea of a mainstream narrative by revealing the understory, the subtext, the overlooked, and the downright unfair. At the “House of CHALLENGING ORDERS” they present their exposing exhibition with the title “The Art Of Behaving Badly”.
In this special event, Guerrilla Girl member Käthe Kollwitz will be zoomed in live to give their classic presentation with new material, followed by 20 minute Q&A with audience members.
UPDATE November 16: unfortunately no more seats, but you can watch the talk live on our youtube channel – subscribe to our channel and activate the bell so you don’t miss it
HOUSE OF CHALLENGING ORDERS
A condemned office building turns into the exhibition venue for the VIENNA ART WEEK and becomes a unique creative experimental space. On three floors and a total of 1,000 m2 , around 40 national and international artists and performers question existing orders, canons and systems and invite us to challenge our own preconceived opinions and concepts.
