The art project Ho altro da fare (I Have Other Things to Do) opens a shared time and space of care to explore with collective survival amidst capitalist excess, neo-colonial exploitation as well as the privatisation and commercialisation of care work. In the artistic contributions, a radical imagination blossoms that serves as a call to action, inspiring collective research methods, shared memory, listening and embodied resistance. The project invites the audience to go beyond individual experience and explore communal forms of care that transcend boundaries and pave the way for a collective good life.
In The Reading (2017), Adelita Husni-Bey invites attendees to a film screening and a live tarot reading with artist Pêdra Costa to explore practices of protection and healing and draw attention to inequalities and the urgency of a sustainable future.
Špela Petrič’s work Performative Ethnographies of X (2024) and AIxxNOSOGRAPHIES (2023) investigates invisible structures of care and reflects on consumption and the environment through a guided tour of Vienna’s waste incineration plant.
With Taking Care Inside and Outside (2024), SKGAL (Nina Höchtl and Julia Wieger) commemorates a collective fight in 1982 for a shared house for womxn who were released from Schwarzau prison, and honours the feminist struggle for safer living spaces.
Sophie Utikal, inspired by Octavia Butler, presents 4 Mothers (2024) – four mothers who generate resilience and care, committing themselves to a new evolutionary phase for humanity.
Netta Weiser invites participants to a collective listening session to explore listening as a political and somatic act, integrating diasporic memories and transgenerational knowledge.

Flucc, a space for contemporary art, music and club culture, has risen from an artists’ initiative to an international institution. In 2007, the new Fluc building was nominated for the “Mies van der Rohe Prize” and named among the most outstanding 40 buildings in Europe. The monthly art salon “In der Kubatur des Kabinetts” (In the cubature of the cabinet), launched and run by Ursula Maria Probst and Martin Wagner, has been taking place ever since.
