The Generations Season is a 6 week-long durational dance performance under the artistic direction of Anna Maria Nowak and it is a co-production between Archipelago and brut wien.
From October 2nd to 26th and November 6th to 16th, The Generations Season takes place, it is a durational dance performance exploring themes of change and ageing. The encounter between performers representing diverse generational backgrounds lies at the centre of the season. Seven performers aged 23 to 69 engage in movement and dialogue, reflecting (abstract) concepts such as future, loss, heritage, hope, time or FOGO (Fear of Growing Old). In this process-oriented work the site of thinking meanders between the language and the body, weaving associative highways of empathy and connection.
The Generations Season lasts from 2.10 until the 26.10 and from 6.11. till 16.11. 2024. Der Betrieb is open from Wednesday to Saturday, 2-7 pm. Free entrance.

Der Betrieb
Der Betrieb is an artistic space dedicated to durational dance performances, located in the 15th district, at Vogelweidplatz 13. It’s a space initiated by Anna Maria Nowak and Alexander Gottfarb, where since 2022 twice a year for 6 weeks each, one can visit dance performances with free entry.
Der Betrieb was born out of a wish to offer an alternative to commercial spaces: shops, cafes and beauty saloons. It’s a room for practicing being together, where audience is welcome to enter, for free, and spend their time watching, reflecting and participating in dance and art making.
